On your way to becoming healthy or health conscious, my advice to you is to study, one of the first things to study is you. Looking into your health and family history of health is a great place to start, because you will find all the ingredients you need to add and take away in order for you to be successful on your new health journey.
Keep in mind the ingredients you find may be hurtful, and very well could have saved some of your loves one lives had they understood how that ingredient impacted their health.
(What I mean by ingredients, some of the choices of foods and the way it was prepared, and family history of certain elements, by knowing this you can prevent detrimental results.)
Upon your discovery of the ingredient, you gain the nessisary knowledge to change the trajectory of you and your family health moving forward. I distinctly remember when I found out certain herbs, vegetables, fruits, grains and legumes if eaten on a daily basis could heal all elements, and prevent sickness from entering our vessels, it blew my mind in so many ways.
For instance: cancer runs in my family upon my studying I found how to slow the process and even eliminate it, I was filled with joy and sadness all at the same time, because I've lost many to this horrendous disease. On the other hand I probably would not have reaserch and learn the information if I hadn't lost so many loves ones, somtimes tragedy bring about solutions, or the greatness in you.
You did your research on you and your family history of health, from what you've learned, you must write your personal health plan, and use the SWOT analysis. Be brutally honest, by doing this you will have a recipe for success.
As you're writing out your grocery list and you soon realize that the items your writing down may or may not be a healthy choice, no worries continue to write your list with your household favorites, and then add the items you studied about.
Once your at the store, and are ready to grab the items on the list, and your full of anxiety, because your on a new journey to become healthy, and your not sure if the items on the list is part of your health plan. You're starting to feel like your minds is playing tricks on you.
Asking yourself, what should I put in this basket?
I know, I was there, and It happens to me to this day when im looking to try something new.
No worries, I have a three step process that I use to get over the stress, and anxiety it works every time.
First: I remember my why, and everything I studied on becoming healthy.
Second: I grab all my fruits, and vegetables, by doing this it calms me and now im able to kick it into gear, and tackle the aisle with less stress.
Note: You may want to go to the grocery store alone, this will eliminate some stress as well.
Third: I grab my phone then I grab the item and read the ingredients, if I can't pronounce it I look it up, if I don't know what it is, or if its part of my health plan I look it up.
Looking up the ingredients in the processed, pakaged, or boxed food your buying, will make the difference for you accomplishing your health goals, and being successful at it. By doing this you gain the necessary knowledge that will be sustainable for you and your family's new history of health.
Note: Always try different vegetables, herbs and fruits, while in the store look it up see whats the benefits of eating them.
